Release and Agreement to Participate

Thank you for your interest in having your child participate in the Teen Intuition & Meditation Class (the “Class”) sponsored by the Academy of Intuition Medicine and taught by Cassie Stirman, MIM (the “Teacher”). The Class offers participants meditative, intuitive, and energy-based information and exercises designed to foster and nurture a child’s innate human sense of intuition. The purpose of the class is to explore Intuition Medicine(r) and energy medicine concerts and to provide tools to help your child develop easy-to-integrate self-help tools into his/her daily life.

By participating in the Class, you understand your child will be introduced to Intuition Medicine(r) energy medicine, and other related information in the field of energy healing (collectively “Energy Medicine”). Energy Medicine is a collective term used to refer to a variety of energy techniques, processes, and methods based on the use and modification of energy fields that assess where the body’s energies are not in harmony and then correct the flow of these energies to boost health and vitality. The prevailing premise of Energy Medicine is that the flow and balance of the body’s electromagnetic and more subtle energies are important for overall health and well-being.

Although Energy Medicine appears to have promising emotional, mental, spiritual, and physical benefits, it has yet to be fully researched by the Western academic, medical, and psychological communities and, therefore, is considered experimental. Energy Medicine is self-regulated and is considered alternative or complementary to the healing arts that are licensed in the State of California. Any information presented during the Class about Energy Medicine is not intended to represent it is used to diagnose, cure, treat, or prevent any medical problem or psychological disorder, nor is Energy Medicine intended as a substitute for seeking professional health care advice. You agree to consult with your child’s health care professional(s) for any specific health issues.

Please be advised that although Energy MEdicine methods are considered to be gentle and noninvasive, it is remotely possible that by participating in the Class, your child may experience emotional distress or physical discomfort which could be perceived as negative. You agree to let the Teacher know if your child inadvertently experiences any emotional distress or physical discomfort while participating in the Class.

You acknowledge and agree that anything discussed with the Teacher either during or separate front the Class is merely a perspective for your child to consider, and participating in the Class is not intended to create nor does it establish a client-practitioner or any other type of professional relationship between you or your child and the Teacher.

Any information, stories, examples, or testimonials presented during the Class do not constitute a warranty, guarantee, or prediction regarding the outcome of an individual using Energy Medicine for any particular purpose or issue. Further, you understand the Academy of Intuition Medicine and the Teacher make no warranty, guarantee, or prediction regarding any outcome for your child during or after the Class for any particular purpose or issue.

Any and all matters in dispute between the parties to this Agreement, whether arising from or relating to the Agreement itself or arising from alleged extra-contractual facts prior to, during, or subsequent to this Agreement, including, without limitation, fraud, misrepresentation, negligence or any other alleged tort or violation of the contract, shall be governed by, construed, and enforced in accordance with the laws of State of California without regard to conflicts of law doctrines and regardless of the legal theory upon which such matter is asserted. YOu also agree and understand that this Agreement is intended to be a complete unconditional release of liability and assumption of risk to the greatest extent permitted by law. If any portion of this Agreement is held invalid, it is agreed that the balance of the Agreement shall continue in full force and affect. This Agreement shall be binding upon you and your heirs, legal representatives, and assigns.

By registering your child in the Class, you acknowledge that you’re competent and able to understand the nature and consequences of having your child voluntarily participate in the Class and that you have carefully and completely read and fully understand all aspects of this Agreement. For good and valuable consideration, the receipt of which is hereby acknowledged, you and your heirs agree to fully release and hold harmless the Academy of Intuition Medicine(r) its owners, principals, teachers, employees, staff members, independent contractors, agents, representatives, consultants, volunteers, and other associated with the Academy of Intuition Medicine(r) from any claims or liability, directly, of whatsoever kind or nature, which you or your child might incur as a result of your child participating in the Class. By signing below, you acknowledge that you have carefully and completely read and fully understand all aspects of this Agreement, and you agree to all of the terms and conditions stated herein. You represent that you are an adult under the laws of the State of California, and you have the right to enter into this Agreement and are the parent or legal guardian of the child participating in the Class.
